Who IS SANJAY SOEKHOE?
Sanjay Soekhoe is a filmmaker and photographer from the Netherlands. Influenced by classical filmmakers such as Akira Kurosawa, Bruce Lee, and Andrei Tarkovsky, Sanjay strives for timeless cinematic visuals.
Sanjay was exposed to movies by his father who is the definition of a movie buff. His dad went to the film store almost daily to score a new movie for the family to watch. Somehow, this early exposure paved the way for Sanjay to find his camera and his eye.
In 2014, he and his colleague focused on cinematic after-movies. From festivals to intimate events, he did it all. For Sanjay, it was a process of finding his eye and his feel for storytelling.
Throughout the years, his thoughts were confirmed; cinema's influence on culture is undeniable. Moreover, if you want to make a lasting impact on the world, it is through storytelling. Sanjay believes that a message wrapped in the right story can move mountains.
That is why he dives deep into story and ensures that Story is King in every film.
Outside of film, Sanjay teaches breathwork and plays music.
As one of his clients said, “This is like a therapy session, business consultation, and film session in one.”
